Colour: Deep Ruby
Aroma: After 2 hours of breathing, P4 begins to hint at the plethora of characters hidden within. The primary fruit profile offering wild strawberry and dark plums evolving to red rose petals and nettles. Further still; blackberry frangipane and roast parsnip, the new oak showing in all its glory, adding notes of pine and cedar.
Palate: The palate is as one would expect from Four – sheer pinot power. The red and dark fruit characters are lush and full, contrasted beautifully by tight dusty tannins, stalk spice and notes of dark roasted coffee. The hero, however, is not intensity of fruit, but the persistent acidity which underscores and harmonises the wine for a seemingly endless finish.
